Enneagram: 6

The Enneagram
This is the second part in my enneagram series! For more information please read my first post. Today's personality type is Six: The Loyal Skeptic.

(Cardigan: Old Navy, Top & Shorts: New York and Company, Belt: Motif 56, Shoes: Sperry Topsiders)

Sixes tend to be good-humoured, funny, and very loyal, earning them lots of friends! So for this outfit I tried to keep it fun and breezy; I wanted it to look like I was just "chillin' wit mii bros!" ;)

They also love win-win situations. They want the best for everyone. So I made this outfit "the best of both worlds" by keeping it really comfortable! The lightweight shorts and soft cardigan are both stylish and cozy.

But Sixes also tend to be very paranoid! They contemplate every possible situation through their heads and worry about the outcome. So I made sure this outfit was versatile- if it becomes too hot, you can also take off the cardigan and belt and still look cute! Sixes are also the type who would always carry an umbrella in their purse!

Because Sixes can be indecisive, I wanted a nice mix of warm and cool colors. I think the best way to do this is pick a solid item in a warmer color and add pieces with cooler colored patterns or vice versa!

Thanks for reading!

Enneagram: 4

The Enneagram

This is going to be my new series, creating make-up and outfit looks based off of the nine personality types found in the Enneagram. If you don't know what an Enneagram is, its a personality test that seperates people into nine different catagories. To take the test and figure out which one you are, or for more information on the types, visit here.

The first personality type I'm doing is Four: The Romantic/ The Individualist.
(I've chosen not to do them in order because it'd be harder that way!)

(Lace top: New York and Co., Tube Top: Rue 21, Skirt: Forever 21, Necklaces: Wet Seal and Barbara Bixby, Rings: Judith Ripka, Kay Jewerly)

I decided to go barefoot, because Fours tend to always be trying to find their true selves, and also love to be different. I would imagine in a place where most would wear shoes, a Four might opt to be spontaneous and take their's off!

Fours tend to be warm, expressive and compassionate, so I chose colors to compliment that: pinks, baby blues, and crisp whites.

This outfit really came together because of sunburn. Yep, sunburn! I was at the beach and I got burnt so badly that it was hard to wear a bra, so I picked up some tube tops that had ones built in because they wouldn't hurt nearly as much, and thats when I tried this lace top over it. And, to my surprise, I loved the way it looked!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, I got my hair cut! I donated 13 inches to Locks of Love and my head feels fresh and free now!

My cat, Tony, was bothering the snot out of me the whole time I was taking these photos, so I thought I'd let him model with me for a bit :)

Towering

about the oddest (and creepiest) expression, thus far, I do believe

Oh, hey, it's me! Let's give this blogging thing another shot, shall we? Here's an outfit post! Woohoo!

Since I'm back, I'm hoping to make a few changes. I'll talk about the rest later, but for now I just want to say oooone thing. When I read some of my blog posts, I feel like I don't exactly sound like me. I'm goofy, and silly, and I made stupid jokes - and I think that comes across in some of my posts, yeah, but other times... I just think I was too detached from this blog, the first time around. I'm going to try to make it a little more personal, because I think that it makes the blog seem more friendly and relatable. At least, I hope so. We'll see. :)

since jump-shots are already so silly looking, I've decided that mine will always included ridiculous faces...

Anyway, enough of that. This is a special outfit post, and lemme tell you why.

For years, I have avoided heels like the plague. I'm 5'7", which I feel is plenty tall, and I've always wanted to be a few inches shorter. I felt like a giant when I wore any shoe with more than 1/2" of heel. But those days are over. I've taken the first step toward embracing my height...and I bought some wedges.

I love them. They are awesome. The bomb. Walking in them isn't awkward at all, and I don't feel the least bit ashamed of my height. In fact, I feel really good about myself.

And so, there ya have it. I am no longer a flats-girl. Well...I still do love flats, but you get what I mean.

A Dream Come True

Hey guys! I know its been a really long time, but I've been busy making my dreams come true...! My school just finished our production of Beauty and the Beast, and I got the extreme privilege of being Princess Belle! She's been my favorite since I was a very small child, so the whole experience was pretty surreal!

So I don't have a fashion post for you today (my wardrobe during the show mostly consisted of sweats and tees!) but I thought I'd share some shots from our show, so you know I'm not lying, ha! The photos were taken by Mira Photography, who I strongly recommend!

It's been exactly one month

since the last blog post. And we've lost followers, which is not surprising at all. I'd like to really apologize, because I've not been putting very much effort into the blog lately, and it was just starting to actually really get going...

I'm not really sure what's going on with Sarah, because I don't see her very often lately. however, I had a lot of posts lined up, but I lost the motivation to get anything done. I've been stressed out lately, and I have a lot on my plate at the moment. I feel like right now I need to focus on things that are a little more important to me: the upcoming school year, my job, and my relationship with my boyfriend as well as those with my friends. So I can't really tell you how much you'll be seeing of me in the next month or so, but when everything settles down I promise I will get back to blogging regularly.

I hope things are going well for you all.

x Courtney

P.S. apologies for my atrocious grammar, as well.

Something There

Hi. Um yes, I haven't posted in a while.
But I've just been so busy! In the end its really my fault, because sometimes I think I try to be busy on purpose. For example, not only am I the lead in my school musical, I also decided to take in upon myself to become the Assistant Director. Call me a control freak, but I feel so much better with it this way!

(Top and Pants: Anthropologie, Tank: Old Navy, Shoes: Payless? Maybe?)

So last weekend...or so...my boyfriend was back in town and we spent lots of time together eating and watching movies and eating more and basically getting fat. It was alot of fun, and this outfit was perfect for our picnic! The pants are so comfortable and breezy~ And the flowered top has so many perfect girly details I could resist wearing it on a date. Although I'll admit it wasn't the most figure flattering outfit, it was fun and good for out day out!

We ate at this place called The Cookout! They have really good Cheerwine Floats!

Working for the weekend

The blog has been pretty dead this past week or so, huh? I thought I'd drop in for a quick post, since I've got a bit of free time. :) I've been really busy - mostly because of my new job. I get pretty good hours so far, but I spend most of my day in my uniform. Then I come home and change into pajamas for while I sit at my desk and work on putting together an art portfolio (something that is not coming along as quickly as it needs to be...) for college.
Life is so very exciting.

I know the images are very poor quality. I have a bad habit of forgetting to fix the settings on my camera before taking outfit photos.. This has caused me to have to put a few outfit "photoshoots" into storage for times like this...when I have nothing else to show you. :P

Anyway, for once I will keep this post from becoming a wall of text. I hope everyone is having a great week!
